Panelists Announced! 8/2, 2pm @PhillyCAM

The following panelists have been announced for the 8/2 panel discussion at PhillyCAM:

Jo Pincushion (Moderator)
An aspiring singer, comedian, blogger, writer, actor, and over achiever, Jo Pincushion is the host of The Pincushion Podcast, and can also be found on TheRealStanLee.com, Geekadelphia, and Rock on Philly.  http://jopincushion.com Chris Scamuffa is a Senior Product Engineer and Information Specialist. He created The KupMuff Show in 2009 with childhood friend and local comedian Nick Kupsey (pronounced Cup-see). In 2011, Laffcast.com was born when Chris started sharing equipment and methods with The Panic Hour podcast. Laffcast.com has become home to 8 live podcasts including Bob and Dave are Terrible People, Mike Salvi's World, Sons of Liberty and The Maxx and Stax Show. Laffcast.com hosts remote live broadcast events, live stand-up comedy and roast events throughout the year in the Philadelphia area. http://laffcast.com
Vanessa Maria is an organizer, producer, and educator from Philadelphia with over 15 years experience producing media. She is currently the host/producer of the local music and talk show, Really Rad Philly on G-Town Radio, and also a producer on The Panic Hour podcast.  She is the Vice-President of the community radio organization, Common Frequency, and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Alliance for Community Media.  In addition to her media work, Vanessa is one of the organizers of "Smoke Down Prohibition," a monthly drug policy protest hosted by The Panic Hour and Philly NORML. http://reallyradphilly.com/ Darnelle Radford is the Producing Artistic Director of Represented. Since 2009, his podcast REP RADIO has produced over 300 episodes featuring Philadelphia's theatre community and is now spreading into New York City. When not chasing after artists with a microphone, he is a marketing consultant and certified "fruit stand" rebel. http://repradio.org/ TS Hawkins is an internationally recognized author, performance poet, actor, wedding officiant and educator. Her publications including Sugar Lumps and Black Eye Blues, Confectionately Yours, Mahogany Nectar and The Hotel Haikus have been well received in print and radio media since 2007. The "Queer 2 The T" podcast covers LGBTQIA Arts and Culture, Nightlife, Politics and other Shenanigans! http://queer2thet.podomatic.com/ Kevin Quirk is a host on Olio.fm. Olio.fm is an online radio station that builds community and brands through podcasts, which was founded and built by his partner Brandi Lukas. Kevin is also involved with the Philly Improv Theater and takes on the persona of Kake Savage in hip-hop musical projects StrayKat and Charlie Blaze.  http://Olio.fm Yowei Shaw is a freelance audio producer and public radio reporter based in Philadelphia. She produces the First Person Arts podcast and she's reported for WNYC’s Studio 360, NPR’s Morning Edition, All Things Considered, and Weekend Edition Sunday, PRI’s The World, WHYY, and other outlets. Yowei has also worked as an associate producer with NPR’s Fresh Air with Terry Gross and NPR’s World Cafe with David Dye. She’s received a National Journalism Award from Asian American Journalists Association and an Honorable Mention for Best Documentary award from Third Coast International Audio Festival. In 2011, she created Philly Youth Radio, a project that provided high school students with the tools and training to produce radio stories about their lives and communities. http://www.firstpersonarts.org/ Ron Whyte first became involved with radical, anti-authoritarian media in 2009. Over time his focus has shifted to concentrate fairly exclusively on the environmental crisis.
